Date: 18th August 2018
Time: 2pm – 10pm
Venue: Canal Mills, Brandon Street, Leeds. LS12 2EB.
Brooklyn Brewery will be bringing their tour bus to Canal Mills on 18th August where the first 200 guests will enjoy a free Brooklyn beer. With free entry, Brooklyn On Tour aims to get back to how craft culture should be experienced: no overpriced tickets, no booking fees, no warm lifeless beer, just a good time with great music, great art and great food.
Brooklyn is collaborating with Indian street food legends Bundobust, who will be providing the food for the event. Bundobust set up shop in Mill Hill in 2014 and have been serving up the tastiest Indian grub and craft beers ever since. The restaurant is inspired by the vibrant and varied street foods of India and will be serving dishes with a modern twist.
Specialising in the finest disco and soul tune from the 70s and 80s Lucy Locket will be entertaining guests with an exclusive set throughout the day. To bring the space alive, Leeds born abstract artist Nicholas Dixon will be live painting a mural on Canal Mills walls. Nicholas will be creating a unique masterpiece exclusively for Brooklyn On Tour that will become a permanent feature at Canal Mills.
Chris Moore, Brooklyn’s Brand Ambassador for Leeds says:
“Brooklyn On Tour is all about finding the very best craft talent in Leeds, as one of the UK’s most creative cities. All out local partenrs are incredible Yorkshire legends who represent the city through their authentic, quality and creative work. Brooklyn Brewery has always been a proud supporter of food, art, music and community efforts and collaborating with creative characters and legendary independent venues like Canal Mills is what we enjoy most. We can’t wait to see what they come up with on 18th August.”
The tour bus is kitted out with a fully functioning bar and space to seat up to 12 beer lovers. The bus also has a serving hatch that will pop open to serve guests a range of brews including the classic Brooklyn Lager, the refreshing and flavourful Summer Ale, sessionable Scorcher IPA, bright and citrusy saison Sorachi Ace, and the new orange pale ale Naranjito. There will also be a chance to try some of their limited edition beers, rarely available in the UK.
Brooklyn On Tour will be in Birmingham on 1st September, and finishes up in Liverpool on 22nd September.
