It’s GBBF this week. Didn’t you know? Haven’t you been reading my excitable tweets for the past, oh, YEAR? I had to miss GBBF last year because of a prior engagement (marriage unfortch) so this year I AM THERE WITH BELLS ON. Possibly on a hat as I am attending on Thursday which, as we all know, is Hat Day.
Each year I am particularly excited to discover the Champion Beer of Britain. Last year it was Binghams Vanilla Stout, and the year before that the wonderful Cwtch by Tiny Rebel. Well it’s bitter’s time to shine again as Goats Milk, by Church End Brewery, is Champion Beer of Britain 2017.
Incredibly proud to announce for ourselves that Goats Milk is now the official Champion Beer of Britain 2017 thanks to all at the #GBBF2017pic.twitter.com/renuf4ke8q

Bishop Nick from Essex took silver with Ridley’s Rite, a pale ale with a floral aroma and satisfying bitterness, while Welsh brewery Tiny Rebel – former Champion Beer of Britain winner – won bronze with Cwtch, their delightful red ale.
Paul Hamblett, sales manager from Church End says: “Goat’s Milk is our biggest selling beer – it’s a nicely balanced beer with a hoppy edge. We originally brewed and named it for a festival taking place in the Goat pub, and the beer just caught on. It’s the first time we’ve won the competition, and we expect it to put us on the map.”
You can find Goat’s Milk at B6 – see you there (I may or may not be wearing a hat*)
