There was a time when, to find a ‘good’ pint of beer or, you know, anything other than a few mainstream lagers, you had to go pretty far. Well, in my part of town anyway. Now it’s rare that pubs won’t have at least something I’ll want to drink, and that’s expanded to include many other venues too; bars, restaurants, theatres and galleries are all wising up to the importance of providing great beer (come on music venues, you can do it too). Going a step further, brands are actually collaborating with breweries to produce exclusive, limited edition beers which, in turn, enhance the overall experience for, well, us!
.
Which brings me along to this exciting piece of news: Magic Rock have teamed up with the Tate and Uniqlo as part of their Tate Lates series to create Sakura Pale Ale, a delicate, pale-pink ale with cherry and peach notes, and a hint of jasmine. Ingredients include dried morello cherries, cherry and peach concentrate, jasmine and preserved Sakura blossoms. You know, if summer ever arrives, this could be just perfect.
Fancy some? Pop up to The Tate Level 1 Switch House bar, where you can grab it in cans and on tap. I’ll see you there.
Uniqlo Tate Lates are held on the last Friday of the month at the Tate Modern
Series Dates: 28 April, 26 May, 30 June, 28 July, 25 August and 29 September
